Only certain priority/emergency cases are currently being processed, for certain categories of applicants who cannot postpone their travel. Please consult the Immigration Service Delivery's website to determine if you fall into one of these categories.

All passengers traveling to Ireland MUST complete Health declaration form within the 72 hours prior to the flight.

Fill out Ireland Work permit application form online

and send the following documents to VisaHQ:
  • Visa application form. Fully completed and signed application form.

  • Original passport. Original, signed passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity. If your passport is new, please provide previous passport showing visas issued for other countries and your travel history.

  • Passport-type photograph. Include two passport style photos, with a white background, taken within the last 6 months. On the back of each photo: sign your name and write your Visa Application Transaction Number. You may also choose to upload a photo to your order for us to print. There is a surcharge associated with this service.

  • Proof of status. Copy of Green Card (both sides) or other proof of legal status in the US (such as copy of I-20, US visa, H1B approval notice, etc. VisaHQ cannot assist US B1/B2 visa holders at this time.)

  • Bank statement. Copies of bank statements from the past 6 months, digital copies must be uploaded.

  • Itinerary. A copy of round trip tickets or detailed itinerary for the duration of the trip. The applicant's name must be on itinerary.

  • Health insurance. Health Insurance. ORIGINAL and one photocopy of health insurance card or travel insurance card. Applicants can get a free rate quote and purchase valid travel insurance from our affiliate here.

  • Employment letter. An employment verification letter from applicant's employer on business letterhead, with contact details, stating that a leave of absence has been granted, purpose and duration of the trip, and that you will be returning to your current job. If you are self-employed, include a copy of your business license and tax return. For students, please submit an official letter from your school indicating that you are in good standing and that you are registered for the upcoming semester. If you are retired please submit proof of your retirement fund.

  • Personal invitation. If visiting friends or family, you must provide letter of invitation with the contact information of the host and visitor, purpose and duration of the visit, confirmation of accommodation including the address, signature and date.

  • Bank statement. If you will be receiving financial support from a host or other sponsor in {country}, please provide a copy of that individual's bank statement. Please note that the invitation letter from your host should specifically state the types of support they will be providing (financial, accommodations, etc).

  • Proof of property. Leasing contract for a residence or document demonstrating house ownership in the name of the applicant, or a document demonstrating ownership of a vehicle or commercial, business or industrial properties.

  • Host Undertaking Form. Statement of Undertaking form filled out by the host in Ireland. This form is available here.

  • Applicant Undertaking Form. Statement of Undertaking form filled out by the applicant. This form is available here.

  • Application Letter. A personal letter from the applicant addressed to the Embassy of Ireland, explaining the purpose of the trip, dates of travel, cities to be visited, and place of accommodation. The letter must be written and signed personally by the visa applicant or their legal guardian. The letter must include a commitment from the applicant that he/she will:
    Obey the conditions of applicant's visa in full;
    Not rely on public services (eg public hospitals) or become a burden on the State;
    Leave Ireland before applicant's immigration permission expires.
    A tour company cannot provide the letter on the visa applicant's behalf. A sample of this letter can be found here.

  • Previous visas. If applying for MULTIPLE ENTRIES, the Consulate may require you provide a copy of a previous visa to Ireland.

  • Proof of accommodation. Proof of accommodation (reservation of hotel, guesthouse, hostel, B&Bs, AirBnBs, campsite, proof of shared or free accommodation with the dates of stay) or, if an applicant is going to study, include information about the study plan (name, address, phone number, website and email of the place of studying, the name of the course with its duration, proof, that applicant has reserved a place on the course)

  • Proof of Sufficient Funds. Evidence of how you intend to finance your trip and support yourself for the duration of your visit, allowing for any unforeseen events such as illness - a detailed bank statement covering a 6 month period immediately prior to your visa application, showing sufficient funds to cover all costs is required. It is advisable to have medical/travel insurance for the duration of your proposed visit to the State.

  • Mortgage/Lease. A copy of the applicant's mortgage or lease. If renting without a lease, please submit a letter from the owner of the house stating the duration and the contract terms of your stay.

  • Health Declaration Form. The proof of the filled out form will need to be presented at control points. You can apply Health Declaration E-Form using VisaHQ service.

  • Original passport. Original, signed passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity. If your passport is new, please provide previous passport showing visas issued for other countries and your travel history.

  • Bank statement. Copy of the applicant's most recent monthly bank statement. The statement must clearly show the applicant's name as the account holder, the balances of the accounts, and the date of the statement.

  • Resume. A copy of the applicant's current resume.

  • Contract. Copy of the employment contract, signed by both the prospective employer in Ireland and the applicant.

  • Employment letter. A letter from the official organization in Ireland arranging the visa. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to "The Embassy of Ireland, Visa Section", and signed by a senior manager. The letter must adhere to the following guidelines: Briefly introduce the applicant;
    State the nature of the position being offered, salary structure, and duration of the contract;
    Specify the Type and desired Validity of the visa (ie. a one year multiple entry work visa).

  • Work permit. Obtained by the employing company in Ireland from the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation.

  • Health Declaration Form. The proof of the filled out form will need to be presented at control points. You can apply Health Declaration E-Form using VisaHQ service.

  • Mandatory form before entering country. The form you will fill may be checked at the borders of Ireland whether you have filled in this form or not, and If you haven’t filled in the form or made misleading statements, you may face legal and administrative sanctions. The information you provide may be used to contact you in the next 14 days to verify the details given on this form and to provide you with public health advice. This form may also be used for the purposes of contact tracing in relation to confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19.

    • Entry is open
      Travelers from any country can enter Ireland. Travelers to Ireland are not required to show proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or a negative PCR test result upon arrival. There are also no post-arrival testing or quarantine requirements for travelers to Ireland.
